Have a Big Decision to Make? This is How
Clarity doesn’t come from pushing—it comes from presence.
A few years ago, I had a massive decision to make.
From the outside, it looked like a no-brainer. The opportunity for my business checked every box: visibility, a prestigious fortune 500 client, a generous paycheck for me and my staff. But at every step of the contracting and onboarding process, something didn’t feel right. Every time I thought about saying yes, I felt a tightness in my gut, like my soul was saying, “Not this.”
I almost overrode that knowing. Because we were 90% engaged and the world tells us to say yes to the big things. To move fast. To stay ahead. To take every opportunity. But I’ve learned something in my 56 years that I’ll pass along on this “Wisdom Wednesday” at C-O-R-E Expressions:
If you have to disconnect from your inner wisdom to make the decision, it’s not the right decision.
So instead of acting, I paused. I asked a few questions and waited for answers. And in that pause, clarity rose. A deeper opportunity—more aligned and more joyful—came just weeks later.
When the world gets loud, stakes are high, and you feel rushed or torn—don’t push for answers. Get quiet; then get centered. Reconnect with the still small voice inside; the ‘Sophia’ wisdom that never leads you astray.
Because the truth is this:
Decisions made from fear are often off-course.
But decisions made from peace never miss the mark.
So if you’re facing a fork in the road this month—pause first.
The answer you’re looking for may already be whispering from within.
